| | 17-year-olds Chris Hall (50) and Daniel Leach (30) starred with bat and ball as Warborough & Shillingford came close to pulling off an unlikely victory over the Gussets. The young pair mixed watchful defense with some powerful straight hitting, but were unable to prevent the home-side falling 21 runs short of a challenging target on a drying pitch, as Rik Waller tore through the tail to take five for eight. Earlier, both youngsters had taken a wicket a piece as cultured innings from Barker (70) and Arscott (41*) had helped the Gussets record a total of 214 for 4 declared. |
