Use of the Facilities

Written by Sean on May 6th, 2011

Two notices regarding the use of the facilities:

1.  Road Safety – Please drive slowly and carefully on the narrow roads linking the A329 and The Green.  In addition to our young cricketers, there are a number of children who live in the houses along this road.  Please reduce the risk of any accident.

2.  Glasses - Please take any glasses back to the Six Bells.  This is an often an unwanted task completed by the coaches at the end of long training session.  Please show your consideration and set an example to our young players.

Welcome to the 2011 Season

Training Timings

For the majority of the age-groups, the timings of the training sessions will take place at the same time as last year. However, for the U11 group, the work commitments of the coach have required a move from the Tuesday evening format.  We are still planning, weather permitting, to run 12 sessions. The full details for the dates and times are shown below:

U15, U13, U9 and U7 Fridays 6-8pm (finishing earlier for the U7)
Commencing on Friday 6 May Final session on 22 July

U11 Saturdays 10-12am
Commencing on Saturday 7 May Final session on 23 July

If there are any prospective new members, please contact the Membership Secretary, Andy Pugh:

Fees

Last year we increased our Registration Fees – the first time since we re-formed the Juniors in 2003. This year, there is no plan to further raise the fees. We will also continue to offer reduced fees for those of you with more than one child attending. Full details are included on the Registration Form which can be obtained from Andy Pugh.

Assisting the Club

We need volunteers who would be prepared to assist our Coaches and Managers so that they can focus on specific tasks relating to the team. So please step forward and offer your help. As an incentive that we may offer next year, the Club may look to waive or reduce fees for those who can positively contribute in a coaching or managerial role. As an aside, you may not be aware that, at present, aside from our 2 professional coaches, all other coaches pay full fees for their own children to join the Club.
